Ismini is a London-based
Theatre & Production Designer.
Her practice spans theatre, opera, dance, film, commercials, and fashion across London and Europe, and she was a finalist for the Linbury Prize.
With a background in architecture and an MFA in Scenography from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Distinction, A. G. Leventis Foundation Scholarship), her practice is grounded in the relationship between bodies, materials, and space.
She is currently part of the design studio at Glyndebourne, working on productions including Orfeo, directed by William Kentridge, and Tosca, directed by Ted Huffman. Recent projects include Fabulous Creatures with Collide Theatre Company and As You Like It, directed by Neil Bartlett. She has collaborated with venues including the Young Vic, JW3, Hoxton Hall, Arcola Theatre, and Southbank Centre, as well as the Athens Epidaurus Festival.
She engages with themes of identity, migration, gender, and social conventions through politically charged, non-naturalistic worlds, driven by a material-led approach.
