Blame Game

Blame Game is a multi-dimensional performance experience about eco-anxiety, that seeks to present the Climate Crisis and our species’ contribution to it as something to coax both despair and hope. It is a site-specific performance piece, adapted for its location; a trial of humanity, presenting vignettes in a variety of artistic forms as evidence that the audience must weigh in on. The piece adapts its climate message to the immediate area; coastal towns are in danger of rising water levels, and city dwellers face a dangerous rise in air pollution - the trial would unpack, ‘Who is to blame for your local crisis?’
The design is created by borrowing materials from the surrounding area, that are brought back to place at the end of the performance, in a circular, eco-scenographic method.
