How does the confined female figure overspill, dominating the space as a monstrous entity? From Teras -monster- to Terra -earth- this performance explores narratives of attachment, where veiled female bodies transform into the landscapes they inhabit. The work explores the metamorphosis of the female to a monstrous entity, within the intersection of costume and space.
As a response to the pervasive issue of agitated domestic and gendered violence prevalent in patriarchal environments in Greece and globally, this practice serves as a reflection on individuals trapped within homes, bodies rendered voiceless, yet claiming and magnifying their presence within their spatial context. The work seeks to challenge preconceived notions of femininity and reclaim agency, offering a platform for redefinition amidst narratives of constraint and oppression.
