Two strangers meet in an apartment. The front door remained accidentally open. Anyone could enter. Neither of them wants to reveal their identity to the other so they get involved in a role-playing game. Who is the thief and who the houseowner?
The film is set in a flat the eccentric owner Penny inherited from her grandmother. She lives amongst animals and plants, including a parrot who proves to be a key to the story. The costume and the light design are playing with dualities: cold - warm, good - evil, innocent - guilty, with a twist of humour. Small, unexpected sources of practical lighting illuminate an overall dark set, enhancing the bizarre atmosphere of the encounter.
